I have recieved a few comments about my last post -
mostly along the lines of, "I did not think the Golden Globes were amazing at all."
I feel you.
I was referring to the extreme overuse of the word amazing-
as in: "It's amazing how many amazing people missed my amazing use of irony
in my amazing post about the amazing overuse of the word amazing."

In regards to your blog--it appears with giant text on my screen. Nobody else see it that way? I have to go into view and make the text smaller in order to make sense out of it. And then everybody else's blog print is tiny. Don't know whether it's my computer or yours but it's hard to read text when the letters are 2 inches high!!! As to your actual post, the word "amazing" has been getting way too much use for several years now and I think it should be banned! I have also noticed that many young women (because they are the ones who most use it) pronounce it as if it is spelled amazeen! It's truly Amazeen! Barf and Gag.

hmmm - on my blog, the text is small - about the size I see (and hope you see) here. I have no idea if anyone else sees it as you do - but will try to figure out what the hell is going on??????

Thanks for commenting on my blog. I never know who reads it! As for the font size on your blog, it still looks really big to me. Weird! Maybe it's me! Here's to drinking too much coffee and accumulating books!

Yes, HUGE on my screen as well.

But I still read it...even though I rarely comment =-)

Amazing, I say, simply amazing.

I can't stand the overabundance of the word "awesome" but maybe that's because I work with a bunch of 20-somethings who use awesome and like in abundance.

Brown Shoes! Your blog is back to normal size! How's it going anyway? Gonna be watching the Oscars on Sunday? I hope you blog about it.

I love your name, Brown Shoes, and especially Brown Shoe. How "amazingly" delightful! (grin)

Here I am a total stranger, teasing you about the use of the word.

How about the word "basic," or "fabulous," or...

(grin) As the daughter of a writer, I love words.

I really enjoyed this blog entry!
